Love the look of lush leaves, but not sure what plants to pick for your home? Go green with our guide to indoor plants!
Here are some of the most popular houseplants, why we love them, and what you need to do to keep them alive.

Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum)

These leafy, low-maintenance plants are loved throughout homes and offices. Peace Lilies are the perfect plant for first-timers as they’re pretty easy to grow and don’t require much care. They also help purify the air by removing toxic gases. Plus, they bloom beautiful white flowers all year round.

Care Instructions

  • Keep in indirect sunlight.
  • Water weekly, maintaining damp soil at all times.
  • Mist the leaves regularly with a spray bottle to keep humidity levels high.
  • Remove dust gently with a soft cloth.
  • Trim dead leaves or flowers.

Snake Plant (Sansevieria Trifasciata)

Its common name is pretty fitting, since its scientific name sounds like some kind of curse Harry Potter would say in Parseltongue. Snake plants are basically the next best thing to artificial plants, requiring minimum care. These guys also boast air-purifying properties, and offer a striking silhouette with their straight leaves.

Care Instructions

  • These plants love light, so keep near a window with direct sunlight.
  • Water every 2-3 weeks. Don’t water if soil is still moist.
  • Fertilise during summer.

Fiddle Leaf Fig (Ficus Lyrata)

Fiddle Leaf Figs are in high demand, and for good reason. Their oversized leaves make this popular plant a statement piece in any room. If you’re looking for an indoor plant that provides height and plenty of foliage, you’ll love this leafy species.

Care Instructions

  • Keep in bright, indirect sunlight.
  • Water when top inch of soil is dry – use your finger to test this.
  • Remove dust gently with a soft cloth.
  • Fertilise once a month, excluding winter months.

Swiss Cheese Plant (Monstera Deliciosa)

With its beautiful split leaves and glossy green finish, the Swiss Cheese Plant brings serious jungle vibes to your indoor spaces. Its leaves can grow up to three feet long, so be sure to make plenty of space for this lush tropical plant.

Care Instructions

  • Keep in bright, indirect sunlight.
  • Water weekly, or whenever the top inch of soil is dry.
  • Remove dust gently with a soft cloth.
  • Lightly mist leaves occasionally with a spray bottle.
