There’s nothing quite like a wood-fired pizza done right, and these restaurants in Brisbane have nailed it. From the crust to the toppings, we’ve come a long way since the $5 delivery pizzas we used to beg our parents for.
If you’re serious about your pizza, you have to check out these places for the best wood-fired pizzas in Brisbane.

Beccofino – 10 Vernon Terrace, Teneriffe
Prepare to be transported to Italy with just one bite. Beccofino offers authentic wood-fired pizzas, giving customers a taste of the true flavours of Italy.
Whether you can’t go past a classic Margherita or you’re feeling adventurous with a Friariella (mozzarella, pork and fennel sausages, sautéed broccoli leaves, scamorza and chilli), Beccofino’s extensive menu will have you drooling.

Alfredo’s Pizzeria – 39 Alfred St, Fortitude Valley

Crowd favourites include The Chuck Berry, AKA The Original (tomato, oregano, mozzarella and basil), the American Idiot (braised beef short rib, gorgonzola, pancetta and BBQ sauce) and the (P)Iggy & The Stooges (roast pork, apple sauce, potato and crackling).

Try the classic Capricciosa (ham, artichoke, olives, mushroom, mozzarella, tomato) or be bold with a Mare e monti (mozzarella, ‘nduja, white anchovies and parsley). Mister Paganini’s flavours are even bigger than their huge wood-fired oven!

Sorellina – 31 Logan Rd, Woolloongabba
This place is the real deal. Using the best Italian flour and allowing their dough to cold-rise over 36 hours, Sorellina puts love into every pizza. And you can taste it.
You can’t leave without trying their delicious mushrooms, porcini ragu, mozzarella, parmesan and garlic pizza, or their pork sausage, salami, onion jam, mozzarella and parsley pizza. In fact, just try to make your way through the entire menu at some point. You won’t be sorry.
