When school holidays hit and family fun is in full force, the savings tend to take a beating. After all, keeping the young ones entertained day on end can very quickly turn into an expensive feat!
Luckily, there’s plenty to do in Sydney with the kids that will keep their happiness to a maximum and your spending to a minimum.

Playground Park Fun – Multiple locations, Sydney

From long, winding slides to water wonderlands, the playgrounds in Sydney are on a new level. There are plenty of impressive ones to choose from, like the Blaxland Riverside Park, Wulaba Park and Fairfield Adventure Park. The kids will be amused for hours on end, while you can sit back with a coffee and relax!
Pack a delicious picnic lunch to enjoy in the sunshine and the day will be over before you know it. 

The Powerhouse Museum – 500 Harris Street, Ultimo

Not just your regular museum, Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum is guaranteed to be a hit with the kids. Entry is free for children 16 years and younger, and there’s plenty of interactive fun to be had. The Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park is a sure-thing for pleasing both the kids and adults these holidays. Rollerblading or Bike Riding – Centennial Park, NSW

Featuring a long and flat cycling lane, Centennial Park poses the perfect place to indulge in an afternoon of rollerblading or bike riding with the family. You can bring your own equipment or hire out what you need from Skater HQ, located nearby in the Entertainment Quarter. Don’t forget to make sure everyone has their protective gear on!
